ICMA Annual General Meeting & Conference 2018
ICMA's 50th AGM and Conference will bring issuers, investors, intermediaries and market infrastructure providers from the cross-border fixed income markets, together with market experts, regulators and policy makers to Madrid to discuss the state of the global industry and future developments.
Financial markets are continuing to evolve rapidly, influenced by regulation, disruptive financial technology, demographic trends and an increasingly important environmental agenda. In its 50th year, the focus of the event is very much on how the capital markets of the future can continue contributing to economic growth, sustainability and prosperity.
Among the topics for discussion by speakers and expert panels at the Madrid conference are: life in a post QE world; international benchmark reform and developments in Asian bond markets. Following the implementation of MiFID II in January this year, we will be looking at changes in bond trading and the accelerating drive to automation and electronification. And, after another record year for green bond issuance, the future of this market and the global potential for social and sustainable bonds are also on the agenda.
As it has been for 50 years, the conference is a great opportunity to meet colleagues from the global industry over the course of the two day programme and at the networking receptions.
